About Us
Debbie Hicks Productions is a theatre production company that specialises in developing and delivering new writing, particularly musicals and interdisciplinary immersive work. With an onus on nurturing creativity and building strong collaborative partnerships, our team deliver productions that unite artistic integrity and commercial viability.
DHP is a female-led entity headed by Debbie Hicks, an award-winning theatre producer and general manager working both independently and on behalf of other practitioners to deliver exceptional live entertainment across the globe. She has extensive experience of developing and mounting original and innovative work, and collaborates with a range of industry-leading professionals to create unforgettable theatre for audiences.
Since 2019 Debbie has been producer for Global Musicals, a leading creator of new British musicals whose titles include the international smash-hit SIX and the Olivier-award nominated Choir of Man. She produces Jack Godfrey's award-winning 42 Balloons with Global and Alchemation.
She is also the founder and executive producer of [HERITAGE PROJECT], a project which stages interventions within heritage sites to give voices back to disenfranchised figures from history. [HERITAGE PROJECT’s] flagship production is Unheard Voices, presented annually at Hampton Court Palace.
Debbie is currently completing a doctoral degree from the University of Oxford, and is a leading specialist in the nineteenth century artist Marie Spartali Stillman and visual artist and poet Elizabeth Siddal.
